11th Birthday Party

Zach thought that we were going to burn the house down with the sparkler I put on his cake. He tried to blow it out but he couldn't do it. The party went well and nobody died so I would consider that a major success whenever since we had multiple 5th grade boys in a small room for a LONG time.

Celebrate Good Times - Come on

OH Yeah! This is the famous BUTT DANCE made popular by his father and following in good stride with perfect form: Max. While watching the Jets in the 2010 Playoff games, Max celebrates the score of the NY Jets. (Notice the fine stature of his backward protruding buttux while the angle of the hand and right leg are in perfect alignment. I'm so PROUD!

I'm sorry it's been a long time since I've posted to this blog. Life gets really busy and when writing websites the time spent on the computer is considered "Work". Needless to say, I put this blog on the back burner so to speak. Max has grown and lost his tooth 1 month ago. Then, while eating at Applebees, he lost his other tooth. His face at this point looks like a cavern in Carlsbad. Today is a good day. Max is sleeping over at his cousins house. www.heatheroftheEO.com and Zach is having a party here with some of his friends. We'll see if the night goes well.

An Overnighter

This night was Zach's overnihgt party that we had to celebrate his birthday. They stayed up all night in the theater room watching movies and eating a pound and a half of Sour Patch Kids. I'm amazed that we made it through.

School Pics

It's the end of the school year almost and Max and Zach got their school pics from the end of the year. It's pretty incredible how fast they grow. Max is doing great in school, learning his numbers and letters and is already reading and spelling. I can't wait to see how far he goes. Zach has really taken off with reading and loves to get tests back so he can see how he did. Zach has done an incredible job with his memory verses this year and he will be receiving an MP3 player from boys club next week for being able to recite the 24 verses from all year.

Oh to be innocent!

Here I find Max sitting on the couch watching TV with the Dog. I see him running his fingers up and down and I asked him, "What are doing Max? to his reply... I strecthing my fingers Dad." I thought it was so funny to see such a misused guesture come out of a boy so innocent as to wonder why Dad might take an interest in this. When he saw me laugh at his finger stretching he said "Dad I can stretch ALL of Them" Oh to be innocent.

Little Swimmer

Zach was so excited tonight to participate in his first Swim meet. He participated in the Breast Stroke, Free Style, and Back Stroke. He placed 2nd in the Breast Stroke and Third in the others. He was so pumped... I think we have finally found something that Zach will do that doesn't include his butt on a couch! "Just keep Swimming, Just Keep Swimming, Swimming, Swimming"

VICTORY

This says it all! Victory.

Sledding in the Warm Temps

Here is another "Global Warming" Update for those of you suckered in the Al Gore retirement book sale fund. We took the boys sledding last week and had a blast. You will happy to know that the temperature was a balmy 14 degrees. Wow, I needed to take my shirt off that day.

A Picture is worth 1000 words X8

Max had his first Wrestling meet a couple of weeks ago and did fairly. He really needs to work on his form and he could be dangerous but as of now he is just muscleing the kids down. It's very fun to watch.

From Her to IT!

Posted by Picasa

Well last week our little baby girl got fixed. Bob Barker had nothing to do with it. We simply didn't want to deal with the hormones. She had some complications to the surgery with some infection and tearing because she is so active but we gave her some meds and she is doing great now. What a great dog.....

Here is the whole Group ready to take on the Empire.

Holloween 2008

Here are my two little ones at Holloween. Max said it was the best holloween day ever. Zach decided to go as Anakin Skywalker and Max decided to go as Darth Vader or as he calls him "Barf-Fader" We met up with a number of friends that night and made almost the whole cast of CloneWars. The weather was unusually nice so we decided to stay out kind of late. What a change from last year where we drove from house to house because we froze from the car to the door of the house. "Thank you Al Gore." I am started to come around to this Global warming thing....And I Like It.

My Global Warming Commitment! This Sucks!

I broke down and became a defender of the world not long ago. At least that is what I'm claiming. I really got it because I like the gas milage. 90 miles to the gallon. It's so much fun. I'd love to give you a ride on it if you come over sometime.

Lucy's First Day

Well I just came home from Nashville, TN and found my family with a new member of the family. Her name is Lucy and is currently a 9 week old red Lab. She loves to sit on your lap and snuggle up. I think laying in the sun will be her favorite sport although I think the boys will run her ragged as well. The trip to Nashville with the band went extremely well and it felt like only a weekend. 7 days never went by so fast.
She has one of those faces that you just want to love on. Lucy was born on May 3rd 2008.

Bee Keeping!

Zach loves science so I thought that I would hook him up with a Bee Keeper from town to learn about them. It turns out we both had a great day learning about bees and how to keep them. It was really amazing. We both got to go out and handle the bees.
While I was out there with Paul the bee keeper, I noticed a loud noise that wasn't there before. I looked up and saw a huge group of bees in a swarm. We quickly moved out and watched them. The bees flew round and round for about ten minutes like a giant bee tornado. The bees landed on this small pine tree. The brown spots on the tree and all over the picture are bees flying around. This picture was taken after shaking the larger group of bees into the bee hive. It turns out that this swarm was a wild bee swarm that just happened to be there when we were and gathered them into the bee hive. AMAZING!
