From Her to IT!

Well last week our little baby girl got fixed. Bob Barker had nothing to do with it. We simply didn't want to deal with the hormones. She had some complications to the surgery with some infection and tearing because she is so active but we gave her some meds and she is doing great now. What a great dog.....

Here is the whole Group ready to take on the Empire.

Holloween 2008

Here are my two little ones at Holloween. Max said it was the best holloween day ever. Zach decided to go as Anakin Skywalker and Max decided to go as Darth Vader or as he calls him "Barf-Fader" We met up with a number of friends that night and made almost the whole cast of CloneWars. The weather was unusually nice so we decided to stay out kind of late. What a change from last year where we drove from house to house because we froze from the car to the door of the house. "Thank you Al Gore." I am started to come around to this Global warming thing....And I Like It.

My Global Warming Commitment! This Sucks!

I broke down and became a defender of the world not long ago. At least that is what I'm claiming. I really got it because I like the gas milage. 90 miles to the gallon. It's so much fun. I'd love to give you a ride on it if you come over sometime.

Lucy's First Day

Well I just came home from Nashville, TN and found my family with a new member of the family. Her name is Lucy and is currently a 9 week old red Lab. She loves to sit on your lap and snuggle up. I think laying in the sun will be her favorite sport although I think the boys will run her ragged as well. The trip to Nashville with the band went extremely well and it felt like only a weekend. 7 days never went by so fast.
She has one of those faces that you just want to love on. Lucy was born on May 3rd 2008.

Band Camp Instructors 2008

This was my group of great instructors that really made the camp experience a success. I truely couldn't have done it this year with out them. From left to right: Me, Dr. John Ross, Kelsey Eisenmann, Taylor Berry, Natalie Barnes, and Dan Felt. What a team.

Bee Keeping!

Zach loves science so I thought that I would hook him up with a Bee Keeper from town to learn about them. It turns out we both had a great day learning about bees and how to keep them. It was really amazing. We both got to go out and handle the bees.
While I was out there with Paul the bee keeper, I noticed a loud noise that wasn't there before. I looked up and saw a huge group of bees in a swarm. We quickly moved out and watched them. The bees flew round and round for about ten minutes like a giant bee tornado. The bees landed on this small pine tree. The brown spots on the tree and all over the picture are bees flying around. This picture was taken after shaking the larger group of bees into the bee hive. It turns out that this swarm was a wild bee swarm that just happened to be there when we were and gathered them into the bee hive. AMAZING!

Friends!

This is Melissa - She finds strength by sitting behind a bouquet of flowers. She is an awesome example of a fruit cake. I don't understand how anyone could sit behind the same flower arrangement everyday. In fact, her main job is to simply take care of watering the silk arrangements in the church. Talk about a Church in need of Prayer. Where do all of our taxes and tithes go.... I can only guess it is the exorbitant water bill the church must have entailed. Call her if you are also enraged by the misuse of clean water.... her number is 320-HOT-BABE.

JUST KIDDING! Her number is really 235-2326

Just an average day!

Do you see anything odd about this picture. Well, if you were a "normal" person you would notice that my son only has one sock on. However; that is just the thing. "Normal" has taken the shape of this little boy wearing only one sock. I love this crazy guy. I'm not exaggerating....EVERY day I come home from work and Max is sitting in the chair with one sock on and one sock on the floor. He can't tell me why...He just likes it that way.
By the way, once again, it's May 2nd and the forecast is Thunderstorms, Rain and light Snow. I guess I could be wrong about this whole Warming Cycle. Have a great day.

What Little Boys bring Home.

What does this look like to you? .... Me Too - A nasty pile of sticks and garbage. But try to tell Max that. He is convinced that this pile of stuff that he found in the yard today is a gold mine of treasure that can not, no.. Should not be touch by any other human hands. It is only by the grace of God that his nanny came over today to take he and Zach to dinner. It was my golden time to dispose of the pile. I did think it was too cute just to though away so this pile of junk will live forever.

This was my Favorite Photography Moment!

American Bald Eagle 1 mile outside of Town October 25th, 2007 (My Birthday)
I have a good zoom but not that good. This guy let me come pretty close to him. (or Her)
He would move his head back and forth as I walked up right under him.

This was a tense moment. The bird looked right at me and didn't look happy so I backed off. I guess the bald eagle doesn't mind the increasing heat from the snow bound Minnesota.

GLOBAL WARNING, MY ASS!

Aren't you glad that we're so worried about the environment that we are willing to make drastic changes to our manufacturing requirements and totally distroy our economy! Give me a break! Are we really that willing to listen to the lie! Look at these pictures! It's April 11th. 4 inches of snow and that was a very little amount considering most around us got 10 inches. Looking back into recent history it was 1982 when we last got snow like this. I really hope people wake up about this GLOBAL WARMING CRAP!

The race car shirts...

These are the race car shirts. Know why? Not because they have race cars on them or because they say Dale Ernhart Jr., but because they have strips of-course!!! This is our cousin Miles (or Mineals as Max would say) and he and Max both got these shirts for Christmas from Auntie Kay. As soon as they saw the strips they called them their race car shirts. Only two fun loving toddlers would see that. Max and Miles are forever laughing and occationally fighting when they are together. We don't get to see him as often as we would like so when we do get together they make up for lost time!!

What else can I say... Aren't they Great!!

This the other one. The "Bi-Polar" one. Don't get me wrong. I love him very
much but he is the younger brother that lives up to every letter of the title. His brother doesn't put up with much from him frankly because he has earned the thrashing he gets. This guy is Max. He lives life the same way. Do you think that there is just something about a name? You know, kind-of like Mertle. What did you think of then? Old grandma with grey hair? Yeah, Me too. What about Billy Bob? Or maybe Penelope? Max is definitely not a soft and gentle name. His hugs are usually followed by a throat squeeze almost strong enough to make you pass out. In either case, it's still really nice to get the hug. Today he started going to a new place for preschool and he came home so excited to tell me his numbers and letters. I think this change will be really good for him. He really needs a person who can give him one on one attention because he is always talking and moving. At this early age I can already tell that he will be the exact opposite of his brother in almost everything. That's really cool in some ways because as their father I love being able to do all the very different things they rope me into.

Do you see what I see. I can't believe it. This kid is 9 years old. That means I'm nine years older than I was before I had kids. That explains why I have less on my head of the stuff that is turning grey. This is Zach. He is our oldest child and loves to boss around his younger pest of a brother. We try to stop it but I think it's kind of like the fight on global warming. You can't prove it so you might as well destroy the economy and stress families budgets while making laws and regulations that will never help anyway. Oh sorry.... I guess I'm on a tangent and need to get back to the topic. ZACH. He is indeed 9 years old and I love him. He will make me rich some day as his main interest is to be a computer tech/gamer. Actually, He hasn't said that, he just plays a lot of PS2 and Internet games. Where did come from anyway. When I was a kid, We had Atari 2600 (Yea, Old School) but we still went outside and played. I don't think schools teach that anymore! Too busy with Kindergarten classes on World Social Studies, Advanced Calculus and Watch documentaries on Global Warming. Oh don't get me started again.... For now just know ZACH is a really cool kid.

Sing with me....

I am merely the band director so I don't sing that much but certain songs just make me to smile. Do you remember the song "The Wheels on the Bus go Round and Round?" I think so. It's a classic. When Shelly started driving the the little yellow school bus I couldn't help but laugh and think about that song. Also, I thought, "Oh great, now we're paying for 35,000.00 dollars of school loan and you're paying for it by driving a bus!" The funny thing is... She's really good at it and I think the strange thing is God planned it all along. If we should ever meet...... Ask for the song. I can really funk up the Little Bus Song.
